I love creating art, and whether I’m behind the lens, in front of a canvas, or writing my next article or book, I want to capture the emotion and vitality of our lives, our dreams, and the uncertainty of life.

I’m dedicated to sharing stories, and pushing past creative boundaries.

I am inspired to connect with others and explore the human condition.

My art, like my life, is all about experiences.

I’ve rafted down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, walked the Camino de Santiago, journey by foot from Canterbury, England to Reims, France on the Via Francigena, and created a pilgrimage from Plymouth, Massachusetts to Ellis Island in New York City and raised over $10k to support refugees and immigrants.

I’ve spent countless hours hiking the woods of Concord and Lincoln, Massachusetts with packs of dogs, studying their behavior and immersing myself in the natural world of Eastern Massachusetts.

Now that I’m living and creating in Lisbon, I’ve made the Parque Florestal de Monsanto, my new woodland bairro.

Most of my photographic and writing projects have a hyper-local perspective that I find valuable. Popular culture wants to push us towards the “next new thing.” I prefer to linger and get to know people and my surroundings, the intimacy of the every day.

Warm regards, Sarah
