The Alter Ego Project
The Creation Stories
As a photographer and a writer, I'm interested in combining both mediums. As an artist, I'm interested in how we view our "inside" selves and how much we are willing to share with others about our desires and goals. This project has three parts: I’ve created a questionnaire for participants to write a short description of their alter ego or what they would do if they had a second life. After they’ve answered the 10 questions, we meet for a photo session, where they are dressed as their other self. I then write a short story and combine the photos and the information from the questionnaire. This project I've titled, "Creation Stories," because we all have the capacity to dream and shift the perspectives we have of ourselves and our realities.
